Welcome.....

I have been called to duty in the north, in the tween seasons, to service cows from the rear. I have ordered my lube, chilled my semen tank, cut one sleeve from a couple of older sweatshirts and packed the camper. Two months, two dogs, a twenty-one foot camper, thousands of cows and many miles of Montana.

I said yes to the opportunity without hesitation. Then, as I got to packing, a few worries surfaced. The first one was related to my recent achievement of being in the best physical shape of my adult life. The camper lacks room to do the Beachbody Butt Video series and gyms tend not to flourish in rural climes. One might think that the injecting of sperm into a large animals uterus, repeatedly, might be considered physical labor, but I assure you the sex I have with cows burns far fewer calories than the sex that pleasures me. Easy enough... I will promise an hour a day at either hiking, running, or driving to the nearest town that has a gym; the latter having to be done at least 3-4 times per week. Oh, and it will help if I stay on the No Cookies and No Beer Diet.

The second worry was lack of communication and the worry that my daily writing might be lost in the AI pens. I have gotten quite comfortable with daily communications on Facebook, et al and my daily blog to Lisha, but I will not have the time I have now, so consider this the bird-killing stone. So, if you cannot sleep, share similar voyeuristic characteristics as I, are tired of Farmville, or simply just want to know what the Hell I am doing...well, here you go. I will try not to disappoint.

I leave Colorado for Montana on Saturday April 3rd. My first destination: Bertolino Maine Anjou Ranch in Roberts, Montana. http://www.cattlenetwork.com/Cattle-Ranch-Of-The-Week--Bertolino-Ranch/2009-08-28/article_cattlefeatures.aspx?oid=831333&fid=CN-FEATURES-COW_CALF-RANCHES&aid=22

I am writing all this assuming that you know that I have for several years played bull to the back ends of cows. Forgive me. This will be news to some of you. In fact, many of you might not even understand the process, so I will explain that here as well. As we go on. Not in one boring blast tonight.

Also note that I will post photos and I will be writing about all the other stuff that is going on in my life. I hope that you will feel free to comment, to ask questions and to follow along. The road can be beautiful, but sometimes the space can get lonesome.
